– Scottsdale Events May 2026 –
May is here, and that means a new set of events is on the horizon. Here are some events taking place in and around Scottsdale this month.
- 🏞️ Go Tubing on the Salt River – Open for the Season– Salt River Tubing kicked off the season at the end of April so grab a group or go solo and float on down the Salt River. Online booking is available and you can buy a season pass to float all summer long. There are several themed float days this year. Mardi Gras Magic Day will take place on the 9th. Be sure to check ahead as there may be closures due to weather or water levels.
- 🏠 Maricopa County Home Show – May 1st – 3rd – WestWorld is home to the Maricopa County Home Show again. Besides browsing and meeting with vendors, there will be hands-on instruction, seminars, demonstrations, amazing displays and even a magic show! Be sure to check out the 50,000 square feet of the floral showcase as well!
- 🏇 Kentucky Derby Events – May 2nd – The Derby is back, so grab your hats and dress-up clothes. To celebrate, lots of local parties will be taking place. Turf Paradise will host the Derby Day Club. And the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess and the Phoenician are both hosting large events.
- Cinco de Mayo Festival– May 3rd – Head over to downtown Phoenix for the 33rd annual Cinco de Mayo Festival. There will be food and drink, there will be dancing, entertainment, and so much more. Sheila E is headlining this year’s festival.
- 👩🏼🍼Momapalooza – May 9th – Celebrate mom at this free event at the Arizona Boardwalk. Stroll through the vendors, get a chair massage and put your name in the hat for the big prize giveaway. Kids can enjoy games, face painting, bounce houses, live entertainment and more.
- 🫧 Bubble Bash at Desert Ridge – May 9th – The bubbles (for kids!) and foam will be flowing from 11AM to 1PM at Desert Ridge. Kick off summer by visiting the numerous interactive bubble stations located throughout the shopping center.
- 🩰Ballet in Bloom at the Desert Botanical Garden – May 13th – 30th – Come watch Ballet Arizona perform in the desert at night. There are several opportunities to see this amazing show. You will need to buy a ticket, so plan in advance.
- 🍳 Arizona Restaurant Week – May 15th – 24th – As of today, 245 restaurants have signed up and more restaurants are joining daily. Each restaurant will offer a prix fixe menu for one or two people. Depending on the locale, prices are $33, $44 or $55. And this year there’s a handful of restaurants offering a $25 lunch menu experience. The list of participating restaurants is quite diverse, so you can have a lot of fun trying lots of different flavors and price points.
- 🍷 AJ’s The Art of Wine and Garden of Flavors – May 16th – Good wine, good food, and live arts in the garden. AJ’s cellar masters will be pouring hand-selected bottles alongside bites from their culinary team at this year’s Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts garden party. A silent auction runs throughout the event, bulk wine purchases come with a discount, and VIP packages are available if you want to go all in.
- 🎉Collect-A-Con – May 16th – 17th – build is the world’s largest trading card anime and pop culture event, Collect-A-Con is coming to WestWorld. There will be over 900 booths with traders, live performances, meet and greets, and a special concert by Steve Aoki.
- 🎶Pitbull at the Talking Stick Resort – May 27th – Get ready to dance to the many hits of Pitbull. It is sure to be an energetic and fun show. Lil Jon will be the special guest.
- 🖼️ Wonderspaces – Ongoing – This fascinating immersive art experience is located in Scottsdale Fashion Square. The interactive exhibits rotate frequently and run from thought-provoking to whimsical.
