Built in the shadow of Pinnacle Peak, Desert Highlands provides some of the best outdoor recreation in Arizona. In addition, the Desert Highlands Clubhouse has a fitness center, spa and pools. Creator Jack Nicklaus called Desert Highlands the most unique course he had designed. The course weaves its way through lush vegetation overseen by Pinnacle Peak. Desert Highlands has one of the only 18-hole putting courses in the United States which is free to members and is open until dusk.
Consistently ranked as one of Golf Digest’s Top 100 Courses since its opening in 1984, avid golfers dream of playing here. All residents of Desert Highlands are members and pay a transfer fee upon purchasing their property.

Desert Highlands Golf Membership Information – As of September 2025
– Membership is required at Desert Highlands.
– When you purchase, you become a member of Desert Highlands. The transfer/membership fee is $190,000.
– Monthly dues are $1,925, which also include HOA fees.
– Annual $1,500 service charge assessment – $750 paid semi-annually.
– An irrigation project assessment of $100/month began in April 2019 and will run through September 2028.
– $100/month capital assessment fee.
