Legend Trail is a wonderful golf community located in northeast Scottsdale. It has a higher elevation than the rest of the Valley, so it tends to be slightly cooler in the summer months.
Legend Trail has a wide collection of housing options, ranging from condos and cottages up to large, custom golf homes. There are seven communities within Legend Trail, each with its own feel and personality.
There is an 18-hole golf course designed by Rees Jones. The course itself is public, but the amenities make Legend Trail Golf Club feel like a private club. There are several options of golf passes available depending on how frequently you want to play. The clubhouse has a pro shop for your golf needs.

Legend Trail is one of the most diverse golfing communities in Scottsdale. This gated community of more than 640 acres provides exclusivity and incredible beauty. Cacti and trees native to the area dot the landscape that lies in the shadow of the area’s spacious mountains.
Legend Trail has seven communities within its gates to offer a variety of lifestyles for homeowners. Legend Trail is home to one of the most charming restaurants in North Scottsdale. The staff at the Cantina serves authentic Mexican food and traditional Southwestern dishes in a rustic setting. Just a few minutes from any Legend Trail home, the restaurant is a popular destination for residents and their guests. The restaurant is open seven days a week and includes a full-service bar.
Known primarily for its golf, Legend Trail has other activities for everyone. A modern fitness center and two lighted tennis courts provide alternative recreational activities. LEGEND TRAIL GOLF CLUB
Legend Trail Golf Club is a Rees Jones course and is unique in that it is a public golf course with all the amenities of a private club. Golf Digest gives the course 4 ½ out of 5 for “best places to play” and Golf Magazine for Women named it in the Top 100 Woman-Friendly Fairways.
Players can choose the “long trail” with a playing distance of 6,846 yards or the “short trail,” which is popular with many women at a playing distance of 5,000 yards.
Legend Trail is also home to the John Jacobs/Shelby Futch Golf Academy. It offers professional instruction and there is a full day of instruction on the weekends available for a very nominal fee.
The 1,900 square foot golf shop has the latest in clubs and golf accessories. For those who want to look good on the course, exclusive lines of clothing for men and women are sold.
Legend Trail offers a variety of annual golf programs and passes for residents and non-residents.

- The Premier Annual Pass costs between $8,800 (individual) -$15,500 (per couple) – No booking restrictions and several benefits and discounts. (Sold out for 2026.)
- The Annual Pass costs $5,000 – Advance booking, several benefits, and discounts. (Sold out for 2026.)
- There are also Mid-Day Pass ($3,400) and Twilight Pass ($2,100) options. (Sold out for 2026.)
- The Annual Loyalty Card costs $349 and gives you discounts on green fees and more.
