– Scottsdale Events August 2025 –
August is here, and that means new events are on the horizon that will make you forget all about the heat! Here are some events and activities taking place in and around Scottsdale this month.
- Slide the Rails – August 2nd – Cool off at the McCormick Stillman Railroad Park’s Slide the Rails event. Play on the waterslides, the bubble foam pit and more. Everyone over the age of two will need a $10 unlimited slide and ride wristband. And, if you are looking for something sweet, Kona Ice and PoffCakes will be on-site with treats for purchase.
- Flashlight Nights at the Desert Botanical Garden – August 2nd, 9th, 16th, 2rd, 30th– Watch the desert come alive at night and have some family fun at the DBG! These nighttime self-guided adventures are fun for everyone. Be sure to bring your flashlight and some water. Maybe you’ll spot some of the local desert critters while enjoying cool drinks and treats! Each night features a special educational focus, such as all about Nopales.
- Scottsdale RV Show – August 7th – 10th – Ready to hit the road and explore? Head over to WestWorld for the RV show. New and used RVs will be on sale and you can learn all about the newest features and technologies.
- Chris Stapleton’s All-American Road Show – August 8th & 9th – The multiple Grammy winner brings his unique blend of soul, bluegrass, Americana, and rock to Desert Diamond Arena for two nights. Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives open both shows.
- Sonoran Sippin at the Desert Botanical Garden – August 15th – Take an evening stroll through the garden while enjoying a cold beverage, an LED show and pop-up experiences. Food for purchase will be available from the Island Boys Jerk Spot. This is a 21+ event.
- Lost 80’s Live – August 25th – For you folks who love their 80’s music, this is a throwback concert for you! Eight 80’s bands will perform, including A Flock of Seagulls, Big Country and General Public.
- The Offspring with Jimmy Eat World and New Found Glory – August 27th – This is huge for Phoenix music fans! Our beloved Jimmy Eat World teams up with California rockers The Offspring and pop-punk’s New Found Glory at Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre.
- Quilt Craft & Sewing Festival – August 28th – 30th – Handy with a needle or a sewing machine? This beloved crafting event returns to WestWorld for a weekend of quilting, crafting, and sewing inspiration. Perfect for crafters of all skill levels looking to learn new techniques and shop for supplies in air-conditioned comfort. It will take place at WestWorld and if you go on the website, there is a $2 off coupon.
- Arizona Black Rodeo – August 29th-30th – Rodeo fans in the Southwest, West, and beyond, grab your hat and boots and make plans to join us on Labor Day weekend for this exciting rodeo event. Catch live bull riding, roping, barrel racing and more!
- Wonderspaces – All Month – New and innovative art installations are introduced throughout the year as others are retired. It is a great way to spend an hour or two in a fascinating and creative air-conditioned space.
- Go Tubing on the Salt River – Open for the season – Beat the August heat while floating down the Salt River. Early morning trips (starting at 8AM) may be the most comfortable option. Online reservations are 5vailable!
