Scottsdale Polo Championships 2012 Cars2018 is almost here and with it comes the kickoff to a new high season packed with exciting and high-profile events.

  • Chillfest at OdySea – Through January 6th – Want to skate around the desert? Head over to OdySea for the last few days of Chillfest. In addition to ice skating, Chillfest also includes performances, fun events and tips from pros.
  • Arizona Fine Art Expo – January 12th – March 25th – The Fine Art Expo is an annual event that takes place in North Scottsdale on the corner of Scottsdale Road and Jomax. This year, there are 115 artists who will be creating in their studios, plus classes for folks who want to learn from professionals.
  • Barrett Jackson Car Auction – January 13th – 21st – Barrett Jackson, also known as the “World’s Greatest Collector Car Auction” is back. Head on over to WestWorld to take in the experience and see some of the world’s rarest and most exclusive cars.
  • Rock-n-Roll Arizona Marathon and 1/2 Marathon – January 13th – 14th – This year marks the 15th anniversary of this fun race that entertains all along the course with live music, entertaining water stops and much more. Not into long distances? They also offer a one-mile race, a 5K or 10K as well as a kids’ race.
  • Celebration of Fine Art – January 13th – March 25th – This is the other high-profile art event in Scottsdale that takes place each year. Over 100 artists will be present over the 10 weeks to show their work as well as create new pieces.
  • Russo and Steele Car Auction – January 17th – 21st – Russo and Steele is back at Salt River Fields for their multi-day collector car auction. This year, there are over 800 cars that will be up for bids.
  • Carefree Art & Wine Festival January 19th – 21st –  This year is the 25th anniversary of this wonderful art and wine event. Stroll and enjoy the work of over 155 artists while sampling wines.
  • Waste Management Phoenix Open – January 29th – February 4th – This may be my favorite event of the year. Enjoy multiple days of excellent golf with some of the sport’s most famous players. Some of the players committed to the amazing 2018 field include Phil Mickelson, Jordan Spieth, Bubba Watson and Rickie Fowler.
  • Waste Management Phoenix Open’s Birds Nest – Opens January 31st – And with the tournament, comes the Birds Nest for post-golf fun. Each night is a new concert and Flo Rida will be returning to kick things off. Other performers include One Republic and Florida Georgia Line. Be sure to get your tickets in advance as most of these concerts sell out.

    Looking forward to the Phoenix Open this year. Excited to see what the Art & Wine Festival brings as well. Scottsdale never disappoints when it comes to a variety of offerings.
