Fall is underway! And the Fall season comes with many festivals and Halloween events across the Valley. Here is a list we pulled together that includes some of the upcoming activities in and around Scottsdale. They range from family-friendly gatherings to terrifying experiences for those who like to have their wits scared out of them.

Halloween and Fall Festivals in Scottsdale and Greater Phoenix
- MacDonald’s Ranch Annual Pumpkin Festival – October 3rd – October 31st – A family favorite every fall, this North Scottsdale pumpkin patch has gold panning, a hay bale maze, a petting zoo, a scavenger hunt, and pumpkins to pick, plus food and gifts for purchase. Admission is $15, or $50 for a season pass good for five visits (a small pumpkin comes with your first one!. Closed on Tuesdays. Hayrides and pony rides cost extra, so be sure to check the website for pricing and discounts.
- Mother Nature’s Farm – Through November 1st– Pumpkin patch season is back at Mother Nature’s Farm in Gilbert, with hayrides, pumpkin picking, animal feeding, a hay bale maze, and the Mega Slide. Concessions are cash only, and you’re welcome to pack a picnic and make a day of it. Entrance runs $15 to $17 per person. Open daily.
- Vertuccio Farms’ Fall Festival – October 2nd – November 2nd – October 31st – The Fall Festival at Vertuccio Farms in Mesa is back with its giant corn maze, petting zoo, carnival games, train rides, and ropes course, plus the new Hen House Hustle. If you only want a pumpkin, you can buy one without paying for festival entry. Admission is $17 per person, so be sure to check the website for discounts. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays, except the last week of October.
- Tolmachoff Farms’ Pumpkin Days – October 1st – October 31st – Alongside plenty of pumpkins, the farm has several mazes (including family-friendly and mini versions), train rides, a hay pyramid, a pedal cart track, a jumping pillow, and more. Once the sun goes down, the AZ Field of Screams Haunted Corn Maze takes over. Pumpkin Days admission is $20 per person, Field of Screams is $30, and a combo ticket for both is $37. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
- Pumpkin and Chili Party at Schnepf Farms – October 1st – October 31st-Schnepf Farms in Queen Creek is hosting its Pumpkin & Chili Party again, with the Hyperloop and other rides, a 10-acre corn maze, pig races, a stunt dog show, zip lines, mini golf, and a petting zoo. Line dancing starts at 7pm Thursday through Saturday, and you can grab chili or other food, browse the shops, and settle in by the bonfire with live music. Admission is $28.95 per person, and a season pass is $132. Open Wednesday through Sunday. Some activities cost extra, so be sure to buy tickets ahead of time.
- Halloween Spook-Track-Ula – October 1st – October 31st – Every evening, the McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park will transform into a spooky wonderland with family-friendly haunted train rides. This year, they have added a Haunted Train walk-through. Be prepared to be scared! (The walk through is better for older kiddos.) Tickets are $15 and need to be purchased in advance. Entry to the event is timed.
- Strange Garden at the Desert Botanical Garden – October 22nd – 24th -Get spooky at the Desert Botanical Garden! On the 22nd, a 21+ Strange Garden Spirit Walk will take place. Then on the 23rd and 24th , there will be a family-friendly event with a Monster Bash dance party, demonstrations, unicorns and free pumpkins for kids under 12 while supplies last. Food vendors are available both evenings.
- Spooktacular Balloon Festival at Salt River Fields – October 23rd – 25th -More than 20 hot air balloons will double as trick-or-treat stations, handing out 4,000 pounds of candy. Plus, tethered balloon rides will be available for an extra fee. Come in costume and enter the contests for kids, adults, and teams. Be sure to purchase your tickets ahead of time.
- Cave Creek Wicked – October 24th – The 21+ Cave Creek Wicked bar crawl and costume contest is back. Get your best costume on and get ready for a night of fun! 8 bars are participating, and we’ll have drink specials and there’s a bus you can hop on and hop off as you enjoy your evening.
