As the weather starts to heat up, we start to see the number of events taper off. However, I have found some fun things to do in July in Scottsdale and around the Valley.
Here are some ideas for things to do in and around Scottsdale for the month of July.

- Experience France at the MIM – July 10th- 11th – In honor of Bastille Day, the Musical Instrument Museum will hold a two day event showcasing the music of France. There will be live performances, curator talks and a photo booth.
- Blood Drive at Scottsdale Quarter – July 13th – The Bloodmobile will be coming to Scottsdale Quarter for a Blood Drive. This is a great way to give back and pre-registration is required.
- Maricopa County Home and Landscape Show – July 16th – 18th – State Farm Arena will be hosting this fun event where you can attend educational sessions, visit vendor booths, do hands-on activities and so much more.
- Cruise the Zoo – Sundays through July 25th – Enjoy the zoo from the comfort of your air-conditioned car this summer. Follow the path throughout the entire zoo and if you want to learn more about the animals, you can listen to the audio tour on the zoo website.
- Catch a Diamondbacks Game – Throughout July – We are in the midst of baseball season and there are lots of opportunities to take in a Diamondbacks game throughout the month!
- Summer at the Desert Botanical Garden – Ongoing – Come experience the Garden after hours with Flashlight Nights every Saturday or enjoy music and ambiance with the Soronan Sippin‘ events on select dates.
- Live Music at The District in Desert Ridge – Friday and Saturday nights – All kinds of musical genres will be on the stage in July and beyond. Visit the website to see who will be playing.
- Wonderspaces Arizona – Wonderspaces features wonderful and unique art installations that change throughout the year.
- Staycation Deals Are Here! – Summer 2021 – When the summer arrives, local hotels and resorts start offering exciting packages for locals looking for a staycation. AZ Big Media compiled a list of the Top 25 Staycation Deals for Summer 2021. Take a look and see which ones look the most tempting!
