Long before modern Arizonans discovered the beauty of Ancala, famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright once considered developing the land. Lying in the shadow of the McDowell Mountains, Ancala is known for its luxurious homes and preservation of the natural beauty of the area. In 2008, the Ancala Country Club received certification in Environmental Planning from the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses. The certification is a part of the club’s commitment to saving the natural resources for the next generation.
Ancala residents live with beauty inside as well as outside. Homes range from 42 cozy casitas to 542 homes. The villas at Ancala provide two bedrooms, two bath homes that are a perfect second home for avid golfers. Sprawling homes with multiple bathrooms and bedrooms allow families to enjoy Ancala throughout the year. The homes are the epitome of upscale living in a private, gated community.
The Ancala Country Club is a haven from the everyday challenges. Play tennis on one of the two lighted courts available. A swimming pool and Jacuzzi provide water-filled fun. Staying in shape is easy with a fitness center with weight training and cardiovascular equipment. A formal dining room and member’s bar and grill give residents a place to have a leisurely meal after golf or after work. The formal dining room is perfect for entertaining guests you want to impress. The country club also has a full calendar of social events and golfing activities.

GOLF AT ANCALA
Golfers aspire to play the Pete Dye Jr.-designed golf course because of the challenges of the rolling desert terrain. The golf course is home to many charity tournaments. Ancala offers private golf memberships. The Par 4 18th hole was voted the best and most challenging hole by Scottsdale Life Magazine. Golfers have to ensure they keep it between the bunkers on the left and the massive bunkers and water to the right.
Golf Membership Information as of May 2024
Full Golf memberships are available for an initiation fee of $35,000 and monthly dues of $1,165. There is also a Transferrable Full Golf option and a Young Professional option. Ancala will run membership specials periodically, so please contact us if you want to learn more. There is an annual Food and Beverage minimum of $1,000.
A Sports membership is available for an initiation fee of $8,500 and monthly dues of $690. This membership comes with access to golf in the off-season, plus one round a month during the season, with the payment of cart fees. You are also able to participate in private and group golf lessons and clinics. There is an annual Food and Beverage minimum of $1,000.
Ancala also offers a Lifestyle membership for $790 and monthly dues of $250. This membership gives you access to the clubhouse, fitness center, tennis, swimming, dining and social events. You are also able to participate in private and group golf lessons and clinics. There is an annual Food and Beverage minimum of $500.
